Physiotherapy is available to members on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday with morning sessions running from 10 - 12 and afternoon sessions from 12.30 - 2.30 (each session is 45 minutes long with a 30 minute refreshment break). We also offer two classes remotely on ZOOM on a Tuesday.
To assess your needs and to create a tailormade exercise plan for you we will, firstly have a telephone assessment with you, followed be a one-to-one assessment at the centre. Its usually helpful to wear comfortable clothes and flat soled, supportive footwear for the assessment and physio sessions.
We offer a wide variety of group exercise sessions such as Pilates, yoga, floor and balance classes, and seated neuroactive classes. The focus of the group exercise classes is on improving and maintaining flexibility, strength, balance, posture and mobility, and reducing the risk of falls.
We also have an adaptive gym with specialist equipment such as Motomed bikes and including Tilt Tables & Standing Frames for members who need extra assistance to stand. You will be supported in both the classes & the Gym by our team of Specialist Physiotherapists and Physio Assistants.
We also offer some 1 to 1 appointments for specific problems, such as a new back issue, recovery from a fracture or a relapse – speak to the Physio team to see if they think this would be appropriate.
If it’s just a preference for 1-1 treatment on a regular basis, then we can arrange this separately through our Friends and Carers Service, or the Neuro physiotherapy service, these sessions do incur a charge.

Donations are really important to the continued running of the Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre, particularly as we receive no government funding.
