PATIENT BENEFITS
The key to good exercise motivation is making exercise FUN, CHALLENGING and HABITUAL.
Exercise has been found to be neuro protective, to improve symptoms of depression, improve cognitive processing speed, visuospatial memory, executive function and cognitive flexibility. Exercise can also reduce co-morbidities and reduce pain and fatigue.
Our Physiotherapists run classes which provide people with neuro conditions the opportunity to exercise regularly in a safe and fun environment.
We include all 5 components of exercise in our sessions
- Strength and endurance
- Flexibility and Range of motion
- Cardiovascular exercise
- Balance and co-ordination
- Relaxation and Body awareness
